Dr. Rediehs
Dr. Rediehs is a Senior Consultant with The Kilgore Group, LLC. Glen holds a Ph.D. in
Psychological Foundations of Education and an M.Ed. in the same major from the University of Florida, Gainesville, FL. In addition, Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, MO, awarded him the M.Div. degree. He earned his bachelor's degree in Psychology from Concordia College, Ft. Wayne, IN.
Dr. Rediehs brings a rich blend of experience to his work from many years of teaching in college and university Psychology departments, over a decade as a psychotherapist, a business owner since 1980, and his background in the clergy.
For over twenty years, he taught (as either adjunct or full-time faculty) in Psychology and Education departments at USC-Spartanburg, SC; UNC-Charlotte, NC; Davidson College, Davidson, NC; Rollins College, Winter Park, FL and Valencia Community College, Orlando, FL. Glen is a licensed marriage and family therapist. For more than a decade, he has provided psychotherapy for Spartanburg Community Mental Health Center, Spartanburg, SC and Lutheran Family Services, Charlotte, NC. After several years as a clergyman at the beginning of his career, Dr. Rediehs directed a continuing education program for Valencia Community College, Orlando, FL. He has also been Director of a Lutheran counseling center.
In 1980, Glen founded Creative Living Associates, a training and consulting firm. Over the years, Dr. Rediehs has trained and consulted at many non-profits and governmental agencies. Organizations such as Boys' Clubs, Head Start, child care centers, area health education centers, hospitals, mental health centers, churches, etc. have been typical clients. Governmental agencies have included various state agencies in Florida, North and South Carolina, county school systems, the military, and so forth. Glen's training and consulting work with these clients has focused on conflict resolution, human systems, relationship skills, solution-focused brief therapy, child development/parenting, coaching skills, strategic planning, establishing continuing education programs, and other issues.
In the business world, his work has included visioning and strategic planning, corporate coaching of individuals and teams, job profiling and employee assessment, training managers to coach, leadership development, new-hire programs, and similar efforts. All his work is on the people side of organizations. Clients have been in manufacturing, real estate and land development.
Dr. Rediehs prefers to work from strength-based perspectives such as Appreciative Inquiry and Solution-Focused approaches to management.
