Del R Poling
Del R. Poling is a senior consultant with The Kilgore Group, LLC and founder and managing
principal of Del R. Poling Consulting International, a consultation and management organization. He has assisted non-profit organizations and for-profit companies all over the world by actively seeing them through critical changes. In addition he has worked with entrepreneurs in the establishment of their companies, while bringing them through the important stages of growth.
Del is a pioneer in Organization Development having begun his consulting career in with the development of the National Training Lab Organizational Development Network. Since then, he has managed and participated in many facets of the consulting industry.
Del has assisted in the acquisition of some businesses by large corporations. He has participated both in the evaluation process and the company's integration into the parent operations, but his expertise lies in: managing change processes, organization audits, problem identification and problem solving, mission and strategic planning, selection of key personnel, professional and management development, team building, goal setting systems, decision making systems and skills, performance management systems, task and systems analysis, organizing and constructing reward systems, including gain-sharing, and quality improvement systems.
Del's consulting and teaching experience has also included serving as a faculty member of several international seminar companies. He has presented thought-provoking programs to managers and staff of some of the worlds foremost organizations.
Born in Maryland, Del moved to St. Petersburg, Florida in 1971 where he maintains his primary residence. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from Maryville College - Maryville, TN, a Master degree from Western Theological Seminary, in Pittsburgh, and received clinical training from the Western Psychiatric Institute and National Training Laboratories. Del is a member of both the International Consultants Foundation and the Association for Creative Change. Some of Del's professional accomplishments include:
- Designer of the Interpersonal Dimensions of Johnston College - University of the Redlands, CA.
- Designer of the Doctoral Program in Organizational Development for San Francisco Theological Seminary, CA.
- Consultant and co-designer of the nine Interdenominational Career Counseling Centers in the U.S.
- Co-designer and then Director of one of the first centers for the Applications of Applied Behavioral Science, and guest lecturer at more then 20 national and international universities.
He has served as executive coach and mentor to more than 50 company presidents and key executives in both the profit and nonprofit sectors. Managing change, increased effectiveness and organizational performance are among the areas of coaching issues.
Del has trained thousands of supervisors, managers and executives in management skills. This has been done either through in-house seminars/workshops or public seminars. He is a top presenter for The Executive Committee having presented over 500 times across the United States. The client list includes Fortune 50 and 500 companies, U.S. Air Force and Army, Chambers of Commerce throughout the U.S. and many small businesses and organizations in both the profit and nonprofit sectors.
