Arthur E. Worth

Art Worth is a senior consultant with The Kilgore Group, LLC and also founded Worth Developing in 1978. His clients include manufacturing, healthcare, the utility industry, local government and small business.

Areas of work include: Manager skill assessment, combined with development recommendations; organizational needs assessment and recommended strategies for improved effectiveness; custom designed workshops to address specific needs; and individual on-the-job coaching. Communication, team-building, leadership, planning, decision-making, performance management, and meeting effectiveness and are a few of the workshop topics presented. His clients have included the American Academy of Medical Administrators, American College of Cardiovascular Administrators, St. Joseph Hospital, Morton Plant Hospital and Martin Memorial Hospital in the healthcare field; an numerous clients in manufacturing and public utilities.

Mr. Worth has held corporate level human resource positions with Westinghouse Learning Corporation, Anaconda Aluminum Company and Florida Steel Corporation and Florida Tile, Inc over a 14-year period. In these positions he was responsible for the design, development and delivery of programs and consultation services. Included were three new plant start-ups, skills training in maintenance, equipment operation, and manufacturing processes, labor-management relations including four elections, coaching managers on the redesign of organizations to better meet the present and future needs of the market place. Programs and services were for all levels of employees.

Over a period of 22 years Worth has designed, developed and produced a wide variety of technical and non-technical programs. They included multi-media formats from sound tape to video productions and diverse print materials and testing. Subjects ranged from maintenance skills, equipment operation, management-by-objectives, communication skills and meeting management. A meeting management program was developed for a national vendor of seminars and programs.

For a period of 13 years Mr. Worth was adjunct faculty for the Center for Creative Leadership's Leadership Development Program. In this capacity he gives individual feedback to all levels of managers and executives and coaches them in ways to improve their effectiveness. For three years Mr. Worth has Conducted Unit 1 of the American Management Association's Executive Effectiveness Course. This is a one-week program where participants gain a better understanding of how their behaviors impact others and what strategies exist for changing, if they choose.

Mr. Worth's philosophy is to create strategies that help organizations increase effectiveness, build greater internal competence and increase self-sufficiency. Comments like "Can always be counted on to think of the client's needs first", "Works well at all levels in the organization" and "Helps us help ourselves and that saves us money." are typical of many satisfied customers. Art is an excellent listener who cares about the results of his involvement. He works to find a tailored solution to problems or customized approaches to issues rather than tailoring your problem to a canned, off-the-shelf solution.

Mr. Worth is the recipient of the Distinguished Contribution to Employer/Client Award from the American Society for Training and Development. The award recognizes contribution to a client over an extended period of time and in diverse areas of work.
